Balor seeks redemption: The Road to Money in the Bank

2023-06-12 07:00:00

Find Balor arrives in the ring and takes the microphone. Finn Balor says he knows Seth Rollins is here, and he’s there too. They need to talk, no jokes, no chants, they just need to talk.

Seth Rollins’ music begins and the champion enters the ring. Balor asks the crowd to stop the chanting, but the crowd continues. Balor says seven years ago he was RAW’s No. 1 pick, he beat Roman Reigns on his first night and three weeks later he beat Rollins to become the first Universal champion.

Rollins laughs since the crowd still won’t stop. Balor says it’s serious. He has no pleasure, he waited seven years to say this. Rollins asks Balor what he means if it’s that important to ruin the fan party.

Balor says that in a snap of the fingers the most important became the greatest difficulty. A shoulder and biceps injury. Injuries happen, it’s a tough business. But what bothers him, aside from the fact that those idiots can’t stop singing, is that Seth Rollins took everything from him. Rollins took his momentum, his title, a year of his career, Rollins took everything from him. Now it’s his turn to take everything back from Rollins. He’s going to take Rollins’ momentum, his title and a year of Rollins’ career, and he’s going to take it all at Money in the Bank.

Rollins starts laughing. Rollins says he’s kidding because it’s the Finn Balor he’s been waiting to see for seven years. Universal’s inaugural match at SummerSlam, which launched their careers in two different directions as one got bitter and the other better. He’s done bad things for the past seven years, but he’s also made memories, he’s made history, he’s made moments that fans will never forget. He did this because he changed and he got better and he is the best version of Seth Rollins today. The proof is the WWE World Title. Balor wants a chance at Money in the Bank, he’ll get it! But he must know, which version of Balor will come to Money in the Bank? The bitter former champion won’t stand a chance, but the Finn Balor who beat him to become the first Universal champion will have a chance. So is Balor gonna bring this dude or whoever has been walking around like a little female dog for seven years.
