BAM’s weekly indicators

Here are five key points from Bank Al-Maghrib’s (BAM) weekly indicators for the period from October 6 to 12, 2022:

1. The dirham appreciated by 0.99% once morest the euro and depreciated by 1.21% once morest the US dollar.

2. No auction operation was carried out on the foreign exchange market.

3. Official reserve assets stood at 339.1 billion dirhams (MMDH), down 0.5% week-on-week and up 5.3% year-on-year.

4. The overall outstanding amount of BAM’s interventions comes to 102.6 billion dirhams, including 48.6 billion dirhams in the form of 7-day advances on calls for tenders, 30.9 billion dirhams of outstanding long-term repos and 23.2 billion dirhams of long-term guaranteed loans.

5. On the interbank market, the average daily volume of exchanges stood at 5.5 billion and the interbank rate stood at 2.01% on average during this period.
