Dharamsala> Bangladesh got off to a flying start in the World Cup as they defeated their neighbors Afghanistan by six wickets in a match led by Mehdi Hassan Miraz with an all-round performance. Bangladesh overcame the target of 157 runs set by Afghanistan with 92 balls to spare with the loss of four wickets. Miraz became the star of the game with three wickets and 57 runs. Score: Afghanistan 156 (37.2), Bangladesh 4–158 (34.4). Afghanistan might not capitalize on the good start given by openers Rahmatullah Gurbaz (47) and Ibrahim Sadran (22).
