Deposits with banks stood at 1,127.5 billion DH at the end of March, recording an annual increase of 5.2%, according to Bank Al-Maghrib (BAM). However, their pace of growth has slowed compared to the first two months of the year.
In detail, household deposits reached 835.5 billion DH, which means an annual increase of 6.5% with 201 billion DH held by Moroccans residing abroad (MRE), while deposits private companies, for their part, increased by 10.9%, totaling 190.7 billion dirhams at the end of March, according to the dashboard “credits and bank deposits” of BAM.
