The Innviertler meat and sausage specialist Kletzl (“Kletzerl”, permanent sausage, meat loaf) is insolvent: According to creditor protection agency AKV, the company based in Aspach has submitted an application for restructuring proceedings without self-administration to the Ried regional court. 118 creditors and 36 employees are affected. According to the application, the liabilities are 5.6 million euros. The AKV did not provide any information about the assets.
According to the application, one reason for the insolvency is the corona pandemic: a major German customer failed, which led to a drop in sales. In addition, there were increased energy and raw material costs, which could only be passed on to customers to a limited extent. A continuation of the company is planned. The creditors should receive a quota of 20 percent within two years.
