Barbara Schöneberger (49) uses Instagram active, but has a clear stance on how to use the platform. “For me, Instagram is a deeply dubious channel,” she says in the podcast “Feelings” in conversation with comedian Kurt Krömer (48). The German moderator is particularly critical of influencers: “I refuse to somehow sneak followers through a certain type of story.”

Sharing your own private life on social media with around 800,000 followers is taboo for you. There are a few influencers in her agency who share their experiences from everyday working life. “They don’t wear a bikini anymore that they bought themselves,” says Schöneberger. With every holiday, the hotel is called beforehand and asked whether the stay is free if three posts are made for it. The moderator clearly goes too far: “Please pay for your oil massage yourself. You are all millionaires! », says the 49-year-old, who does not advertise on her channel herself.

After recording the podcast episode and her clear words, Barbara Schöneberger is certain: “As of today, I screwed up any cooperation with a lucrative partner on Instagram.” The mother of two is particularly bothered by the marketing of children on social media. She keeps her son and daughter out of the public eye as much as possible.
