Barry Ward: (Laughs) It’s a story I still chuckle about! I was indeed a bit of a handful. But I suppose my… energetic personality caught the eye of BBC casting directors who where scouting for “gregarious types,” as they put it. They visited my school, St Declan’s, and I was pulled out of class to audition. It was all improv and games, really.Next thing I knew, I was working alongside the brilliant Ger Ryan and Seán McGinley. It was a complete whirlwind!
