by

A Baton Rouge woman was arrested Tuesday on charges of access device fraud and exploitation of the infirm after allegedly spending $1,160.56 on an 82-year-old’s Sam’s Club credit card, according to the Baton Rouge Police Department.

Jill Craig, 45, is accused of using the credit card over several days in September 2025 while providing home healthcare services to the victim. An affidavit from police detailed nine purchases made with the card, including two transactions on Walmart.com on September 21 totaling over $250 each. Additional purchases were made at various gas stations and on Amazon.com.

The Baton Rouge Police Department confirmed the arrest, stating the investigation began after the unauthorized charges were reported. The department’s address is located at 9000 Airline Highway, Baton Rouge, LA 70815 and can be reached at 225-389-2000 or 225-389-3800 for emergencies.

Louisiana arrest records are maintained and searchable online, though details specific to Craig’s case were not immediately available through the Louisiana Arrests database.
