BBC Raid: Income Tax Department Explains

New Delhi | The Income Tax Department clarified that no one’s digital devices were seized in the raid on the BBC offices.
Only the most important employees were recorded. Only important equipment was cloned. These were then returned. Employees were allowed to work and go out as usual. It was also explained that sufficient time was given to reply.
The officials returned last night following completing a three-day inspection in Delhi and Mumbai. Some employees had to cooperate with the inspection without leaving the office for three days.
It is pointed out that the government will have to give a more clear explanation regarding the raid on the global media organization.
