A hyper-sophisticated attack targets iPhones, it would be one of the most complex ever, and was brought to light by Kaspersky.
The idea that iPhones are the most secure phones continues to be challenged. Very recently, it is Kaspersky which once again puts this assertion to the test by having revealed during a conference in Germany an attack of a completely new type, operation “Triangulation”, and which very specifically targets the brand’s phones at the apple.
The scary thing about this attack is that it starts with a malicious attachment, but it doesn’t need to be opened to operate. Then, the attachment simply exploits four different security vulnerabilities that had not even been noticed by Apple, to take over the smartphone and then transmit sensitive information from the smartphone in real time. And this would also be valid for the brand’s other products.
It seems that Apple has since corrected the flaw, and this is why it is once again strongly recommended to update your iPhone.
