Vienna – The Swiss Tanja Hüberli and Nina Brunner won the gold medal at the Beach Volleyball European Championships on Vienna’s Danube Island. The top seeded duo celebrated a clear 2:0 (12, 13) final win over Daniela Alvarez/Tania Moreno from Spain and secured their second European title. In the bronze medal match, the Germans Laura Ludwig/Louisa Lippmann defeated the former European champions Anouk Verge-Depre/Joana Mäder from Switzerland 2:1 (14,-18,11).
