The native of Guasave was born in 1945 and quickly ended up consecrating herself as Orba’s idol. It has to be remembered that Chayito began his career at an early age by participating in amateur contests that were held in theaters and some places in Guasave and Los Mochis. Over time, her peculiar tone would take over the hearts of the people until she became one of the most important exponents in the country and in the American Union.

After performing several songs with Juan Gabriel, with “Besos y copas” being one of the most remembered in her discography, the singer suffered an accident that left her in a coma for 13 years thus shutting off his voice permanently. Before this, she was confined to a wheelchair for the rest of her life.
It was the year 1985, which could be his best moment professionally speaking, when he was on the highway from Zacatecas to Saltillo, Coahuila. His driver fell asleep and with this he caused a rollover. In this mishap the artist almost lost her life, but the reality was that hours later she was appearing at the palenque. Over time, Obra’s idol fractured her spine, leaving her without mobility.
After overcoming this accident, in 2003 Chayito suffered dehydration that ended in medical negligence that ended up causing a seizure and his brain stopped receiving oxygen for more than four minutes. This led her to remain in a coma until the end of her life in 2016.
