Beer brewers celebrate New Year’s Eve on September 30th

“Happy New Year”, that’s what brewers wish for on September 30th. They celebrate New Year’s Eve at the end of September. A tradition that has its roots in the Middle Ages: Before longer storage was possible thanks to industrial cooling, beer was only brewed from Michael’s Day (September 29) to St. George’s Day (April 23). The KultiWirte revived the custom, which had almost been forgotten, in 2018.
