Before Eid, remittances came in at 127 million dollars

Like every time, the remittance flow increased due to fasting and Eid. As a result of this, on the 21st day of April, i.e. the day before Eid, the country received 127 million 17 million 10 thousand US dollars.

On Monday (April 24), the Central Bank published updated data and it was found that on the 21st day of this month, 173.37 million 50 thousand dollars were collected through state-owned banks, 3.63 million 40 thousand US dollars through a specialized bank, 105.73 million dollars through private banks. 30 thousand dollars and 42 lakh 90 thousand US dollars remittance came through foreign banks.

Last month, remittances to the country reached 201.77 million dollars, which is the highest in seven months. Earlier in August last year, the highest remittance of USD 203 million came to the country. Last February, remittances came in at 156 million 12 million dollars.

In the financial year 2021-2022, the total remittance received is 2 thousand 103 million 17 million US dollars. In the financial year 2020-21, the amount of remittance collection was 2 thousand 477 crore 77 million US dollars.
