Behind bars two Cicpc for working with the “El Caracas” gang

Apparently they helped the criminal group store weapons and explosives when they attacked merchants.

Two officials from the Corps of Scientific, Penal and Criminal Investigations (Cicpc) were arrested for allegedly belonging to the “El Caracas” gang in Zulia state, which is engaged in extortion.

Douglas Rico, director of the Cicpc, released the information on his social networks and pointed out that it is part of a “purging process” within the security agency.

Those arrested are: E. A Gil Infante, 36 years old, and CJ Colina Colina, 33, who, using their investiture as officials, provided their services to JA Marquez Morales (28), nicknamed Caracas, to transfer and protect firearms, long weapons and explosive devices belonging to the criminal group, with the intention of facilitating their attacks on merchants, as Rico indicated.

At the time of the arrest, three cell phones were seized, in which the constant communication they had with the gang leader was observed.

«The Cicpc will continue with its self-purification process. We will not allow any of our officials to act outside the framework of the law, harming the population they must protect,” added the director of the scientific police.

Both remained at the order of the Public Ministry of the entity.
