Beirut Fire Brigade sets a plan to put out the burning of the dumps.. The families of the victims of the port explosion are protesting and threatening to escalate

The Minister of Environment in the caretaker government, Nasser Yassin, indicated that yesterday’s meeting discussed how to treat the rubble in the port of Beirut, extinguish the fire in the wheat barns, and treat it to be safe.

In an interview with Voice of Lebanon, he confirmed that the Beirut Fire Brigade will begin the cooling process in the barns, and this process might continue for days.

In addition, the families of the port victims are holding a sit-in to demand that the fire be extinguished and that the rubbish not be demolished.

The people confirmed that they would wait until 12 noon and in the event that the fire was not extinguished at 12 noon, we would escalate by cutting off the road because we no longer trust false promises.

In a related context, the Beirut Fire Brigade began drawing up a field plan to put out the fire in the barns and cool the site.

The meeting will be held under the chairmanship of the Beirut Fire Brigade Commander, Colonel Maher Al-Agouz, provided that the operation begins immediately.
