“Beirut Heritage” honored director Mohamed Karim | culture

The Beirut Heritage Association organized a ceremony in honor of the radio and theater director Muhammad Karim, at Dar Al-Nadwa – Al-Hamra, in the presence of a crowd of interested people. A short documentary film regarding Karim’s book “In Mind, Beirut”, which was published in 2005 by the Arab House of Sciences, prepared and presented by researcher Nabil Shehadeh, a member of the association.

During the celebration, I wrote a speech to the President of the Lebanese Center for Heritage of the Lebanese American University in Beirut LAU, poet Henry Zughaib, and another sent to the academic specialized in linguistics, Dr. Nader Siraj from Paris, regarding how Karim approached popular literature away from exaggeration and disgrace, while the former minister, Muhammad al-Machnouk, recalled some of the memories of his work. With Karim, when he launched the live broadcast on Radio Lebanon.

As for the celebrant, he turned to the new generation of media professionals, with sincere advice following fifty years of experience working in the field of media in all its forms, and called on them to “commit to the literature of the media, which is a message before it becomes a profession, and to arm themselves with knowledge and skills for its diversity.” He thanked the association. An initiative to honor him, where he received an honorary shield from its president, Suhail Mneimneh.
