Beitar ‘Gi’ Gedera – Gedera today

The children’s group of the Beitar Gedera club will be named after the late Guy Simchi

Beitar Shamchi. After the club’s youth team was named after the late Dana Ben Oved, the local club’s children’s team also gets to bear the name of a young man from Gedreti who was killed in the battles of the Shevah in October while protecting his friends in Kibbutz Ra’im, the late Guy Simchi.

The group has updated

With great pride and a heart full of honor, the Beitar Gedera football club commemorates the hero of Israel, Sgt. Guy Simchi, who died heroically in battle and saved the lives of dozens of people in Kibbutz Reim.

From now on, our third group of children will bear the name of Guy, a brave warrior, who on the day of the battle on October 7 confronted terrorists with his bare hands, and in his act of heroism saved the lives of many, while protecting his friends with his body.

The letter C, which now takes on a new meaning, will symbolize the tremendous legacy of Guy, who gave his life to ensure the peace of his friends, and the values of courage, sacrifice and giving will be an integral part of our group.

We remember him, continue his path and pledge to cherish his name with every step we take on and off the field. ⚽

The Simchai family, you are part of the Beitar Gedera family. We thank you for the great privilege of commemorating Guy Simchai – the lion of all of us
