Lotte Kopecky is world champion. The Belgian won Sunday in Glasgow at the end of a race where she multiplied the attempts at the front. Leaving the group of favorites seven kilometers from the finish with the Dane Cecilie Ludwig, she dropped the latter a few hectometres further to win alone.
Second in Wollongong (Australia) in 2022 behind Annemiek Van Vleuten, Kopecky won the world title for the first time in his career. She also becomes the first Belgian to win the rainbow jersey since Nicole Vandenbroeck in 1973.
