Belinda Bencic will not see Vidy this year. The St-Galloise announced on social networks that she was going to take a short break and skip the Hopman Cup (19-23.07) in addition to the Ladies Open in Lausanne (23-30.07).
She said she was happy with her Wimbledon tournament despite a solidly bandaged shoulder. But to be able to go to the United States and play the American tour in the best conditions, she preferred to take a little rest.
She hopes to be able to take part next year and resume competition in Washington in a few weeks.
