Belize Announces Diplomatic Relations Severed with Israel Following Gaza Attacks

(AFP, Belmopan, capital of Belize, 14th) The Central American country Belis announced today that it has severed diplomatic relations with Israel. This is the second Latin American country to cut off diplomatic relations with Israel since Israel attacked Gaza.

Citing “continuous and indiscriminate bombings”, the Belize government no longer welcomes Israeli Ambassador Einat Kranz-Neiger and announced that it has withdrawn its request to certify Belize’s honorary consul in Tel Aviv.

Israel stated that the Palestinian Islamist organization “Hamas” raided Israel on the 7th of last month, killing regarding 1,200 people, most of them civilians, and taking regarding 240 hostages. Israel immediately launched a retaliatory attack on Gaza. According to the local Ministry of Health, 11,320 people have died, most of them civilians, including thousands of children.

Bayliss issued a statement saying that since the 7th of last month, “Israel has continued to violate international law.”

Bolivia in South America took the lead in severing diplomatic relations with Israel on the 1st of this month. Colombia, Chile and Honduras also recalled their ambassadors.
