Belkin Introduces MagSafe Continuity Camera Support for Desktop Macs

The Belkin prop had mentioned it when marketing the MagSafe support for Continuity Camera designed for the screens of MacBook Air and MacBook Pro, and therefore today presents the version adapted to external monitors and iMac.

A version adapted to iMacs and external screens

After the version for portable Macs, here is the model specially designed to equip iMacs, Apple Studio Display and Pro Display XDR monitors (which does not have an integrated webcam), and which should be, according to the manufacturer, compatible with the majority of external screens on the market. The system is very similar to that for portable Macs, with a magnetic attachment for iPhone MagSafe (i.e. iPhone 12/Pro, iPhone 13/Pro and iPhone 14/Pro, but not the SE versions) allowing rotation and tilt over 25 degrees, and a slightly wider clamp to allow its use on monitors with thicker frames than laptops. You can find our explanation of its use via Continuity Camera on macOS Ventura.

Some differences from the mobile version

The accessory also differs from the version for Mac Portable by the presence of a slide to move the magnetic part on the median plane, the possibility of fixing the support on a tripod via a 1/4 inch screw threadas well as the absence of the aluminum crutch also acting as a ring allowing a finger to pass in order to offer better support to the whole.
