Friends have claimed to DailyMail.com that the actor, 51, and the superstar singer, 55, are once again moving ahead with divorce after a last-ditch attempt at reconciliation failed in recent weeks.
The couple’s divorce papers “have been finalized, but not yet served,” multiple sources claim.
The news follows Affleck buying a new $20.5 million “bachelor pad” mansion in Pacific Palisades on Wednesday, July 24, the day Lopez turned 55.
Friends of Lopez claimed that Affleck’s sudden bachelor purchase on her birthday was a “stab in the heart”.
His purchase comes just days after the couple listed their Beverly Hills mansion for $68 million.
July 24 was also the day Lopez completed the sale of her four-bedroom New York penthouse for $23 million, People reported.
“They were finalizing divorce papers with her a month ago but are waiting for the right moment to call it quits,” claimed a source close to the duo.
