Ben Simmons’ comeback is getting closer, and the Australian will probably get back into action in the series against the Boston Celtics.
Wie Adrian Wojnarowksi (ESPN) reports, Simmons has now been able to walk and run again for a week and will be able to participate in training again in the coming days.
Thus, a use in the course of the series against the Celtics is possible. The hope is that the Australian can play at least 10 to 15 minutes per game. Jake Fisher from Bleacher Report got even more specific, judging by his information, even a Game 3 debut in Brooklyn isn’t out of the question.
Simmons had recently complained of back problems in the lumbar region and received an epidural injection in mid-March to relieve the pain. The Australian came to Brooklyn for the trade deadline to trade James Harden, but hasn’t played a second yet.
