Benguelenses expect improvements in the social sector in 2023 – news

We are killing each other, children picking up knives, weapons and creating terror in the neighborhoods, I hope that this situation can be combated in 2023”, he requested.

On the other hand, young Rafael Kandjuluka, 27 years old, a motorcycle taxi driver for 7 years, told us that he has a degree in Primary Education from the Magisterium of Catumbela, but due to lack of opportunities, he earns his bread on motorcycles.

“I have a degree in Primary Education, there are almost no jobs here. Most young people take motorcycles or work as a taxi collector as a refuge. I have been in this activity for seven years. I make her my livelihood. I hope that in 2023 the Government will be able to open more public tenders and activate some companies for young people to have decent jobs”, he said.

For her part, Teresa Sambo, a university professor, told our newspaper that 2022 was a challenging year, due to the numerous events that marked the country and the province, in particular.

“It was a challenging year, we had the general elections and an atmosphere of fear hovered over us, but thank God we were old enough and we lived a true party of democracy”.

Teresa Sambo also said that “at the level of Benguela, there have been numerous transformations. We have the example of requalification of the waterfront of Praia Morena, in our university sector we won the university center of Catumbela, in energy we won the solar system of Baía and Biopio, already at the end of the year, the rehabilitation of one of the main avenues of the province. We aim for a better Benguela in 2023”, she wished.
