Exchange of fire between the Beninese Armed Forces (Fab) and an armed group this Tuesday, June 28, 2022 in the town of Matéri.
According to concordant sources, the army took an armed group entrenched in a locality of Matéri by surprise. It would be the same group that operated this weekend in Dassari. According to preliminary information, two people were neutralized in the rand of individuals not yet identified.
Contacted by BENIN WEB TV, the press service of the General Staff said that the details of the operation will be given in an official press release. For the moment, there is therefore no official report.
It should be remembered that during the intervention in Dassari, the military had put two suspected terrorists out of harm’s way. They also rescued three police officers and two in custody.
