A BenQ updated its line of monitors Ergo Arm and launched three new models of products aimed at professional designers — two 27-inch (the PD2706UA is the new PD2705UA) and a 32″ (the PD3205UA).
Let’s start talking about what they have in common: in terms of display, they all have 4K resolution (3840×2160 pixels), brightness of 250-350 nits, refresh rate of 60Hz and viewing angle of 178º.
When it comes to connection, they are very similar and have two USB-C ports, one HDMI 2.0, one DisplayPort 1.4, two USB-B, three USB-A and a P2 output (3.5mm) for headphones.
PD3205UAThe big difference is in the power of USB-C connectivity. While the PD2706UA and the PD3205UA can reach 90W, the PD2705UA it has the most limited power, of “only” 65W.
PD2706UAAnother exclusivity — this one, only from the PD2706UA — is the support to DCI P3, technology that provides wider color gamut coverage and brings the color standard adopted in the motion picture industry to the monitor. The others, in turn, support the good old sRGB.
PD2705UAObviously, the three models also have the flexible “arm” that gives the line its name, which allows you to adjust the monitor in aspects such as rotation, height, inclination and even attach the cables connected to it inside the ergonomic “arm”.
As expected, the 32″ model (PD3205UA) is the most expensive of the three, going for $750 on BenQ’s website. The most complete model of 27″ (PD2706UA) is going for US$620, while the “capado” (PD2706UA) is being sold at $600.
