Benzema returns to Real Madrid training

French international striker Karim Benzema, who has been absent since the beginning of September due to a thigh injury, has returned to training with his team Real Madrid and will be ready to participate in the Spanish League competitions at the end of the week, according to what was announced Wednesday.

“I feel good and I am happy to be back in the team…I am looking forward to Sunday’s match” against Osasuna, he said in an interview with the Royal Club website.

“I did a lot of fitness exercises. I didn’t touch the ball. I trained for the first time today. I did a lot of running and strength training in the training centers over the past few days. I did the exercises at home too.”

Benzema has been absent from the competitions since he suffered a right thigh injury during Real Madrid’s victory over Celtic in the Champions League at the beginning of the month, which deprived him of the capital’s derby against its host Atletico in the league (Real won 2-1) and the international window with his country, which won over Austria lost against Denmark in the European Nations League.

Real Madrid leads the league with a full mark with six wins from six matches.
