After beating Shakhtar Donetsk on Matchday 3 of the 2022/23 Champions League, Karim Benzema became the second Madridista with the most European Cup victories. The Frenchman has won 80 games in this competition since joining the club in the summer of 2009 and surpasses Sergio Ramos’ tally (79). Benzema is only ahead of Casillas (90).
His beginnings as Madridista in the European Cup took place on September 30, 2009 once morest Olympique de Marseille at the Bernabéu, with a victory (3-0). It was only the beginning of a legendary career in the white jersey in the Champions League, a competition in which he is one of the most successful players with five titles.
