Berizzo’s La Roja thrashed in a friendly: with a hat-trick included!

After a week of work at Juan Pinto Durán, La Roja played a friendly once morest Deportes Linares, who just won the Third Division title. The squad led by Eduardo Berizzo thrashed 8-1 at the Fiscal de Linares.

Gonzalo Tapia (3), Michael Fuentes, Felipe Ortiz, Juan Tobar, Rodrigo Echeverría and Lautaro Pastrán scored the goals for the National Team. The latter was born in Argentina and played for River Plate, but he has a Chilean grandmother and in September he received the nationalization document. Today he is an alternative to the national coaching staff.

The first stage ended 1-0 in favor of La Roja with goals from Fuentes. At halftime, Berizzo changed the entire eleven and the difference in the score grew widely. Tapia and Ortiz were figures.

Christian Latorre marked the discount for Linares, an institution that is directed by Luis Pérez Franco and that next season will compete in the Second Professional Division.

The Red Sub 23, in addition to projecting soccer players to adults, is preparing for the 2023 Pan American Games. On that occasion, the National Team will be able to have three older soccer players. In this case, Berizzo summoned Rodrigo Echeverría, Simón Ramírez and Diego Rubio. The latter was captain of the first half.
