Best Bakeries in the Grand Est: Highlights & Competitions

2024-01-05 22:53:13

The new season of The Best Bakery in France is off to a particularly good start, as it begins this Monday, January 8 on M6 with a week dedicated to bakeries in the Grand Est.

In the show, the region’s bakeries compete throughout the week on tests such as the aesthetics of the store, the favorite product, the signature bread and then the jury challenge. It is Bruno Cormerais, Meilleur Ouvrier de France baker, Noëmie Honiat, pastry chef, and Michel Sarran, starred chef, who are responsible for deciding between them.

Among the 10 bakeries from the Grand Est who compete during this first week, four are from Lorraine : two from Meurthe-et-Moselle and two from the Vosges. Two of them have already had their portrait broadcast on M6’s social networks.

The Florentin bakery and pastry shop, in Vandoeuvre-lès-Nancy

It’s a little paradise that Anita and Adrien have created for themselves in their bakery in Vandoeuvre-lès-Nancy. Both are very close to their families, so much so that they decided to work together! Anita’s sister works as a saleswoman, and Adrien’s brother as a pastry chef. Adrien’s two other brothers supply them with goat’s cheese.

All these happy people work hard every day to offer customers gourmet products, made with local products.

The Gourmand Pain bakery, in Dounoux in the Vosges

It’s the great story of the week, and it takes place in the village of Dounoux in the Vosges. A couple since they met at the CFA 11 years ago, Adrian and Mégane opened their bakery in 2023 in the Vosges village. A project that was done out of love. On the day of the inauguration, Adrian made his marriage proposal to Mégane, in their crowded business. “As someone who likes discreet things, it was great! », smiles Mégane.

Barely installed, our newlyweds watched with delight all the inhabitants of Dounoux parade. Yes, yes, all of them, without any exception!

Many nods to the region

In the trailer for the show, the jury multiplies the nods to our region: in the car to go to the Grand Est, Noëmie Honiat decides to get into the mood by playing some local music. We. And in particular the hit Ca m’nerve by Helmut Fritz, making it clear to Bruno Cormerais that the singer is from Forbach, in Moselle. And yes !
