It’s a great day to poke fun at Minnesota. The Giants can definitely hold their own against the Vikings, and I’m happy to back Brian Daboll as an underdog against Kirk Cousins.
Minnesota narrowly outlasted New York on Christmas Eve as New York’s creative defense and improving offense proved it could compete with anyone.
On the season, the Giants were 12-4 ATS (ATS), including 9-2 as underdogs and 6-1 on the road. Meanwhile, Minnesota finished the year on a 1-4 ATS streak.
The Vikings’ defense is a huge problem, ranking 30th in the NFL in opposing yards per play (5.9). You’d think Minnesota had a massive advantage offensively, but that hasn’t been the case lately. Over the past three weeks, New York has averaged 6 yards per play while the Vikings have averaged just 5.7.
