The launch of the Xbox Series S and X would be a real success, according to the first estimates of the VG Chartz site which compiles several sources. In total, Microsoft’s two new consoles would have sold between 1.2 and 1.4 million copies in 24 hours.
It’s a new record for the American manufacturer who had sold about a million Xbox One on the day of its release in 2013.
Releases on Tuesday, November 10, 2020, the news Xbox Series S et X represent the fourth generation of consoles from Microsoft. They beat the Xbox One record with first sales of between 1.2 and 1.4 million units passed on the first day. In detail, VG Chartz estimates that the Xbox Series X has sold between 800,000 and 925,000 copies while the Xbox Series S has already found between 400,000 and 475,000 buyers.
Still according to VG Chartz, it is in the USA that the majority of these sales took place where it would have sold between 670,000 and 780,000 of Xbox Series S and X in a day. In Europe, these sales are estimated between 340,000 and 400,000 units.
As a reminder, the two new Xboxes have been launched in nearly 40 countries last November 10.
