The Belfius bank has communicated on a new phishing strategy which is currently rampant. The criminals’ method is relatively simple. They call you and claim to be a member of the bank’s fraud department.
On the phone, you are made to believe that a fraud exists on your account and that you need to prevent it… transfer the money to another account. “To do this, your interlocutor will ask you for your secret code and to install software”.

Informed of this new technique, the bank therefore reminded its customers that it never asks for personal data or money transfers by telephone or email.
“Don’t be fooled,” Belfius warns.
