The National Airports Office (THEN) published on Thursday, December 2, a press release specifying the existence of misleading advertisements linked to an alleged transfer of personal effects, more particularly that relating to baggage within Casablanca Mohammed V Airport.
As a result, the national airports office encourages users of social networks to be vigilant in the face of the current circulation of misleading advertisements, insisting on the fact that it is a fictitious page posing as “Casablanca Mohammed V International Airport” and which distributes several publications claiming the transfer of personal effects. Furthermore, it is essential to emphasize that the public establishment declines all responsibility with regard to these publications and the information coming from this page, which according to it, represents neither Casablanca Mohammed V Airport nor any other airport.

However, the presence of the ONDA acronym in all the information and images disclosed undoubtedly remains “staged”, states the same source. Explaining that unidentified or unclaimed baggage is subject to specific procedures managed by the parties concerned, namely airlines, customs administration and indirect tax services.
In this way, ONDA calls on citizens to be cautious of such fraudulent publications and to always verify the authenticity of information before sharing or taking action. This is to protect the public against possible confusion.
