The Minister of Sports, Georges Engel and the Chairman of the LIHPS Board of Directors, André Hoffmann, inaugurated the “SportFabrik” in Oberkorn on Friday. This state-of-the-art infrastructure places Luxembourg at the forefront in terms of movement analysis measurement, injury prevention and return to sport among top athletes in Europe.

Managed by the Luxembourg Institute for High Performance in Sports (LIHPS), in collaboration with its scientific partner, the Luxembourg Institute of Research in Orthopedics, Sports Medicine and Science (LIROMS), the biomechanical movement laboratory within the SportFabrik aims to promote high-level sport, medicine and sport science.

The SportFabrik will benefit the Luxembourg sports sector in general, and elite sport in particular, and will allow them to benefit from the highest scientific standards and cutting-edge research methods in functional biomechanics, movement analysis, motor control, diagnosis of motor function, return to sport and injury prevention, in order to help athletes achieve their best performance in the healthiest possible conditions.
