Biden stresses need to secure Iran nuclear deal

AA/Washington

US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan has announced that President Joe Biden will be “outspoken” with Israel on the need for a nuclear deal with Iran.

In a statement, he said that Biden “will be frank with Israel to reach a nuclear agreement with Iran”, reported the American channel “al-Hurra”.

The US official’s statements came with Biden’s arrival in Israel, his first trip to the Middle East.

Recall that the American president landed Wednesday afternoon at Ben Gurion airport in Tel Aviv. He was welcomed by Israeli Head of State Isaac Herzog and Prime Minister Yair Lapid.

Biden stressed that the United States “will ensure the security of Israel.”

Joe Biden is touring the Middle East from July 13-16, where he will begin visits to Israel, the West Bank and then Saudi Arabia.
