This year’s Christmas celebrations in the country are a sign of religious tolerance. In the context of this, the English daily Arab News also published a special Christmas edition (Expats celebrate Christmas: Big change in Saudi Arabia).
In Saudi Arabia, Christmas celebrations were not visible in public. The celebration was only held in compounds and closed flats where people from European countries lived. There was also a ban on the import of decorative items, including Christmas trees. But with the adoption of the approach of promoting religious tolerance and cultural diversity, the people of the country have turned Christmas into a celebration. Christmas decorations and various sweets including cakes are available in the market.

The Saudi English newspaper Arab News shared the Christmas celebrations in Saudi with its readers with great importance. A special Christmas edition was also published for the first time in the newspaper’s 47-year history.
