Billie Eilish and Jesse Rutherford are still “very, very good friends”.
The 21-year-old singer was first linked with the Neighborhood frontman in October 2022, but following a series of public appearances together – including at the 2023 Vanity Fair Oscar party in March – it was confirmed that they are were separated in May.
Despite this, Billie admitted that she was still close with her ex.
During a question and answer session with his fans on his Instagram story, one of them simply asked: “Jesse???”.
She replied, “We’re just really, really good friends. Forever buddy.(sic)”
Billie also insisted that she is not dating anyone else at the moment.
When asked if she is in a relationship, she simply replied: “No sirrrrrrr.”
The ‘Happier Than Ever’ singer’s rep confirmed she and Jesse split in May, but refuted speculation as to why they split.
The source told People magazine at the time, “We can confirm that Billie and Jesse have amicably separated and remain good friends. All cheating rumors are false. Both are currently single.”
