Billie Lourd and Austen Rydell said “yes” to each other. The 29-year-old actress shared some snippets of her wedding on her Instagram account on Tuesday, including her princess dress by Rodarte. On his slideshow, we can see the newlyweds kissing tenderly under a romantic feather ceiling. “3.12.22,” she captioned the photos, interspersed with emojis. The ceremony took place Saturday in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, according to reports from “People.”
In an exclusive interview with “Vogue “, the daughter of Carrie Fisher said she had met the designers of Rodarte two years before her mother died of a heart attack in 2016. “When I started thinking about who could design my wedding dress, those were the first people who came to mind. I have always been a huge fan of their work and thought their elegant, ethereal and unique style suited me perfectly. I also felt a strong bond with them because of the connection they had with my mother and because they are from California, like me!” she said.

The shoes, designed by René Mancini, were chosen by his father Bryan Lourd because “they reminded him of the shoes my mother wore in the 90s”. Same for her jewelry. As well as her engagement ring – the diamond of which is taken from her mother’s – Billie Lourd also wore a vintage pair of diamond earrings chosen by her father as her ‘something old’. For her “something blue”, she wore her mother’s favorite ring, a blue fire opal. According to tradition, the bride must carry with her something new, old, borrowed and blue.
