“Birthing person” instead of “mother”: Monika Gruber rants about “Genderschmarrn”

A wording in an online report by the “Tagesschau” caused waves to rise in the neighboring country: The word “mother” was not used in the reporting on a draft law by the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, instead the word “childbirth” was used. Specifically, the article said:

“Federal Family Minister Lisa Paus wants to use the so-called Family Start Time Act to strengthen a fairer distribution of childcare and housework. In future, the partner of the person giving birth should be released two weeks after the birth.”

At the request of the “Bild” newspaper, the editors said: “The term ‘releasing person’ is not a term from the draft law. The term was chosen so as not to discriminate against anyone.” After heated discussions on social networks the “Tagesschau” rowed back and changed the wording. The text, which has now been corrected, now says: “In the future, employed partners of the mother should be released from work for ten working days after the birth.”

Monika Gruber: “Deeply misogynistic”

With a comment on Instagram, cabaret artist Monika Gruber also reacted to the debate: “I wonder when more people will finally realize that all this gender nonsense is deeply misogynistic,” says the Bavarian in the video. “I’m not a mother. And can you still say ‘woman’? I’m a gender-fluctuating person with an unused birthing device,” Gruber continued.

The cabaret artist also makes the new self-determination law planned by the German federal government an issue. Every person in Germany should therefore be able to determine their gender and first name themselves in the future and change it in a simple procedure at the registry office. Gruber: “I’m already looking forward to it today when I’m standing with my little nieces in the women’s changing room at the Therme Erding, and a guy comes in with hanging genitals and dangling eggs. I then tell my nieces that it’s wiser to us in the The operator of the thermal bath does not even have the right to remove this person from the women’s changing room, because he would have the right to choose once a year that he would like to be a woman, even if he is not.”

Her appeal: “Please don’t put up with everything. If the smarter ones always give in, the idiots will eventually win and it looks like this at the moment.”
