The bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Menongue (Cuando Cubango), Dom Leopoldo Ndakalako, recognized, yesterday, the commitment of the Angolan Executive in combating corruption, ongoing in the country.

The prelate, who was speaking during the festive season, argued that the Executive is on a good path in terms of combating corruption with results in sight, but that society should collaborate more.

We know that there is a great commitment on the part of the government, in the issue of raising awareness among citizens in this field”, he highlighted.

The prelate said he believes that the fight against corruption is a necessary and important fight, all that remains is to appeal to awareness of the fact that this phenomenon is not good, as it is an evil that harms everyone.

Dom Leopoldo Ndakalako advocates that the commitment must come from everyone, especially the issue of denouncing corruptors and the need for each citizen to be more authentic.

He encouraged government officials to work with more transparency, as well as for the well-being of the population, prosperity for the country and Angolans, creating policies that can bring everyone together in a “Nation Project”.

According to the bishop of the Diocese of the Catholic Church of Menongue, this challenge of combating corruption is also part of the church, the entire society, especially politicians, for whom the entire society is involved in a sustainable development plan for economic and social progress. from the country.

On the occasion, he recognized that there are many entrepreneurs, associations, cooperatives that at the country and province level have done everything to make this happen.
