Bishops training conference in Rome! – Vatican News

Organized in two phases from September 1 to 19, the conference is jointly spearheaded by the Bishops’ Group and the Eastern Churches’ Group.

A conference for new bishops is being held in Rome.

Organized jointly by the Synagogue for Bishops and the Synagogue for Eastern Churches, this discussion meeting began on the 1st of this month. The first phase of this conference will be held from September 1-11 (1-11/09/22) and the second phase will be from September 12-19 (12-19/09/22).

The venue of the conference is the Pontifical “Ateneo Regina Apostolorum” (Ateneo Regina Apostolorum) in Rome. About 150 bishops will participate in the first phase of this meeting and 170 bishops will participate in the second phase. These bishops were received by Pope Francis at the Vatican on Thursday (08/09/22).

The topic of discussion is “Evangelism in Times of Change and Post-Pandemic: The Ministry of the Bishop”.

The challenges and horizons of the synodal church, synodal leadership training, crisis management, the church in a post-pandemic post-modern society, the ecclesiastical experience needed for a diocesan administration, the two priorities that the Pope points out for the church’s journey, family and universal brotherhood have been discussed in the meetings held so far.
