He had been elected the most beautiful baby in Bordeaux… before being downgraded, due to flea bites. Died Thursday August 11, at the age of 89, in his holiday residence, less than a week from his 90e birthday, Jean-Jacques Sempé was amused by this anecdote, he, the author of a work full of bonhomie, swinging with apparent simplicity between the serious and the light.
