Black Pink’s 2nd album ranked 4th on the US Billboard album chart… Top 5 for 2 weeks in a row

Girl group BLACKPINK’s 2nd regular album ‘BORN PINK’ stayed in the ‘Top 5’ for 2 weeks in a row on the US Billboard’s main album chart ‘Billboard 200’, continuing its box office boom.

According to the chart preview article released on the 2nd (local time), this album succeeded in maintaining the top spot in the 2nd week ranking, dropping 3 places from the previous week to 4th place.

The sales volume of ‘Bone Pink’ was estimated at 40,000 copies, down 60% from the previous week.

‘Billboard 200’ calculates the album consumption ranking by adding the number of traditional album sales such as physical albums, the number of streaming to album sales (SEA), and the number of digital music downloads converted to album sales (TEA).

Last week, Black Pink sold 102,000 copies of the album, becoming the first K-pop girl group to top the Billboard 200.

It was the fourth time a K-pop singer reached the top of the Billboard 200 after BTS, SuperM, and Stray Kids.

With this album, BLACKPINK not only ranked first in the US Billboard chart, but also in the UK Official Album Chart ‘Top 100’, becoming the first Asian female artist to reach the top on the British and American charts, which are called the world’s two largest charts.

On the other hand, Bad Bunny, who was ranked number 1 for 11 weeks on the Billboard 200 for a long period of time, was pushed down to 2nd place last week by Black Pink, and this week again climbed to number 1 and showed off her power.
