Sölden – Marco Schwarz got off to an excellent start to the season on Sunday. The Carinthian achieved the fastest time in the first round of the giant slalom in Sölden, which was shortened in the upper part due to wind. With a driving time of 51.85 seconds, he was just ahead of the dominator Marco Odermatt. The Swiss overall World Cup winner of the last two seasons and two-time Sölden winner is 0.29 seconds back in second place. The Frenchman Alexis Pinturault came third (+0.46).
