Global K-pop star Rosé has teamed up with Puma once again to launch the Speedcat Etoile, a ballet-inspired sneaker combining satin finishes, suede overlays, and ribbon laces. Set for release on July 30, the low-profile shoe continues the artist’s expanding creative partnership with the German sportswear brand.
Puma is taking its popular low-profile icon into a soft new era. Joining forces with global K-pop sensation and brand ambassador Rosé, the sportswear giant has officially unveiled the Speedcat Etoile — a romantic, ballet-infused reimagining of the classic motorsport silhouette. Inspired by Rosé’s personal style, the Speedcat Etoile bridges the gap between retro motorsport aesthetics and modern femininity.

Dressed in a soft pastel pink shade, the low-slung sneaker swaps the usual textiles for delicate satin finishes, velvety suede overlays and subtle shimmer. Tying the look together are wide ribbon laces designed to be bound into graceful bows, nodding to the dance studios and ballerinas the sneaker was inspired by. The update’s name also speaks to the dance inspo behind the Speedcat, as Étoile is French for a principal dancer in a ballet company.
Described as a delicate spin on the low-profile silhouette that's been taking over street style,
the company said the line features satin-inspired finishes, soft suede overlays, and ribbon laces designed to tie into bows. Available in pastel pink, neutral beige and classic black colorways, the Speedcat Etoile debuts with a new campaign featuring the Blackpink member in a scene surrounded by youthful nostalgia and personal mementos that shaped her childhood.

PUMA x ROSÉ Debut Collection
The accompanying campaign visuals lean heavily into nostalgic youth. Set in a warm, intimate bedroom filled with personal keepsakes, Rosé presents the sneaker. This is the latest project from Rosé and Puma, which first got together in 2024 when the brand signed the K-pop sensation as a brand ambassador. In July 2025, the duo was back together, and BLACKPINK member Rosé has transformed from global ambassador to creative designer with the launch of PUMA x ROSÉ, her debut collection with the German sportswear giant. The collaboration launched on August 28, 2025, marking a significant evolution in the K-pop star’s fashion influence.
The collection centers on reimagined versions of PUMA’s iconic Speedcat sneakers, with the Speedcat Premium priced at $110 and the Speedcat Ballet at $90. The standout piece, the Speedcat Ballet, features laces that can be wrapped around the leg like classic ballet shoes, reflecting Rosé’s artistic vision. The 29-year-old artist previously released a capsule in honor of her debut studio album, rosie, but now she’s simply helping the Big Cat Brand usher in the Speedcat Etiole, a new, ballet-inspired era for the iconic shoe.
Where the Etoile Fits Into Puma’s Expanding Sneaker Lineup
Speedcat Ballet at Copenhagen Fashion Week
Being the global superstar that she is, Rosé was the perfect person to unveil the PUMA Speedcat Etiole. Her feminine, often-reserved style and dancing background are reflected in the new Women’s shoe, which Puma hopes will continue the momentum of its motorsport family. The Speedcat ballet flats by PUMA made their debut during the recent Copenhagen Fashion Week, where PUMA was supporting the sustainable sporting brand OpéraSPORT’s Fall/Winter 2025 collection.

Blackpink Deadline Tour
While the flats retain the slim and sleek design of the Speedcat sneakers, PUMA has switched out their regular laces for thin elastic straps, reminiscent of classic ballet pointe shoes. As Rosé balances her ongoing global touring schedule with Blackpink—including their “Deadline” concert tour where the group continues to slay the world—her imprint on Puma’s lifestyle catalog continues to deepen. The Etoile arrives as an ultra-feminine answer for consumers looking to bridge retro motorsport shapes with contemporary street style.
