Blainville Police Issue Warning After Needle Found in Halloween Candy

A call for vigilance is launched by the Blainville City Police Department following the alleged discovery of a needle in a chocolate bar on Halloween evening.

The sharp object was allegedly discovered in a “Coffee Crisp” chocolate bar, the police said in a Facebook post.

Residents of the city located on the North Shore of Montreal, mainly those who live in the area targeted by the discovery, are invited to “check carefully” their children’s treats.

The sector concerned is formed by the streets Raymond-Laplice, boulevard d’Annecy, chemin du Bas-de-Sainte-Thérèse, de Varennes, de Bernières and de Valcourt, in the Renaissance district.

Parents of children who have found a needle inside their chocolate should contact the authorities at 450 434-5300.

An investigation is underway to shed light on the events.
