Kerala Blasters are unbeaten in the ISL with their 8th win in a row. Kochi defeated Jamshedpur by three goals to one at Kalur International Stadium. Apostolos Giano, Dimitrios Diamanticos and Adrian Luna netted for Kerala. Nigerian player Daniel Cheema returned the goal for Jamshedpur.
The Blasters, who were fired up at home, managed to take an early lead. The first half witnessed constant Blasters attacks. Kerala took the lead in the 9th minute of the match through Apostolos Gianov. Jamshedpur hit back in the 17th minute without allowing Kerala to take the lead. Daniel Cheema scored.
Dimitrios capitalized on a penalty in the 31st minute to give Kerala a 2-1 lead. After ending the first half with no change in goal score, Kerala came out with a change in the second half as captain Jasal was replaced by Nishu Kumar. In the 65th minute of the second half, Adrian Luna scored Kerala’s goal to make it three. Despite trying to fight back, Jamshedpur’s advances were limited to a few counters. For Kerala to rise to the third position in the league with the win.
