Blink cameras are now well known in the field, since the manufacturer was among the first to offer completely wireless cameras, thanks to battery operation and a Wifi connection. An operation that allows them to be placed anywhere, both indoors and outdoors, as long as the area has good WiFi coverage. Competitors like Arlo or Eufy having also launched their connected video doorbell, the announcement of this new device is therefore not really a surprise. Because yes, Amazon has just announced the launch of the Blink Video Doorbell, a connected video doorbell which therefore completes the existing eco-system of wireless cameras. And launched at less than 60€, it’s a great feat!
Blink Video Doorbell: a very complete connected video doorbell
The video doorbell Blink Video Doorbell offers all the functions you would expect from such a product:
- flexible installation: you can install your device wirelessly and receive doorbell notifications and motion detection alerts on the Blink app. But you can also connect your device to your existing doorbell wires so that it also rings your indoor chime. The Blink doorbell will then be powered by these same wires. Users have the option to record, save and share events with a free trial to the Blink subscription (starting at 3€/month), or save them locally without recurring costs via Blink Sync Module 2 and a USB flash drive (sold separately).
- See, hear and speak to your visitors: receive a notification each time a visitor rings at your front door, see this person live thanks to its wide field of vision (135° horizontal, 80° vertical), in video 1080p HD infrared day and night, and talk to him with two-way audio.
- ENJOY LONG-LASTING BATTERY TIME: The Blink Video Doorbell is powered by two included AA lithium batteries. When connected or paired with a Sync Module 2, these batteries can last up to two years (batteries will vary depending on device settings, usage, and weather conditions).
- Don’t worry about the weather: Blink Video Doorbell is built to withstand the weather, to protect your home no matter what the weather conditions.
- Make the most of Alexa: Pair your Blink Video Doorbell with Echo devices et Fire TV compatible. You will be able to effortlessly supervise your Blink system using voice commands thanks to the Skill Blink Smart Home and receive notifications whenever a visitor rings your Blink Video Doorbell or when motion is detected. An Echo Show will allow you to directly view the video of the doorbell, and to dialogue with your visitors.

A video doorbell for less than 60€!
La Blink Video Doorbell est available now on Amazon in white or black version, at the price of 59.99€. This is an extremely aggressive price for this type of product, which is rarely found below the 100€ mark.
Be careful though: without the Blink Sync Module 2, access to the video will only be done when someone rings. For permanent access to the camera, as well as for local recording, it is strongly recommended to add the Blink Sync Module 2. A complete pack including this device and the doorbell is available at the price of 94.98€.
